             Species

Lycanthropes are born; they are not bitten or scratched in order to be created. Their births are rare and far and few often several decades passing before more are birthed from the females of a pack. They age normally up until the 25th year then they slow down some stopping all together at times and intervals. Allowing Lycans to live for decades even centuries if they are strong and survive the lives they are given.

Females and Males are equal often times like in rare cases the Female will be the Alpha of the group should she be able to take the reigns from an Alpha male such as cases are rare but has happened.

Much like vampires they are five times stronger than any human. Silver is poisonous and if taken in a large enough dose can incapacitate or even kill a lycan. A lycan must change at least once a week to keep themselves from losing control or staying locked in either the bipedal form or full wolf form during the full moons' cycle.

Here are two forms that the lycanthrope can take. The first is ...

Bipedal - The bipedal form of the lycanthrope is often the least used form. Taken when they are threatened or forced into a fighting position. A lycan will transform to a 7 ft tall wolf man/woman. Standing upon two legs with the head of a wolf and the body of a man covered in fur. Also their hands become sharp claws that can cause severe damage.

Full Wolf - The most-used form is the wolf form. NO I'm not talking like Jake from the twitard movies. This transformation is painful and often leaves one a little exhausted when it's complete. Imagine every bone in your body breaking and reforming to fit something completely different than what it's meant to be. Only with time can the Lycan overcome the exhaustion and learn to love the pain and almost crave it from the change. They are all a little masochistic.
