*The scene below is the story of how we got here and how it all came to be. Imagine if you will children ,teens and some adults, human and supernatural alike gathered around a blind old man as his smoke and whiskey ravaged voice speaks as the storyteller of their small little settlement on the outskirts of the city. In the distance you can see city alight.*

"Most think they know the nature of Angels, divine beings that heal and protect. Funny thing is that it is only half true for some of them others are just twisted and crazed. Lost without the feeling of a higher presence they have become monsters. It's what started the downfall of the world as we once knew it and brought about the Reaping. I know because I lived through it. It's how we have ended up here and why I tell you this now. SHHH! Listen."

A cough from his dry lips and with shaky hands he lifts a rusted flask to his lips downing more of what most know to be his favored drink to dull the pain racking his aging body.

"The truth came out. All of us existed not because a higher being had decided to create us but simple evolutionary chain of events that separated us all by the simple collaboration of stardust and the right planet at the right time. The supernatural and humanity were left to decide for themselves where they would stand and that did not sit well with some of the Angels.  Once protectors of humanity some became corrupt and sick from  the loss of the belief that they were created for some higher purpose. Those sickened creatures turned their fury upon the world and humanity. Why should they care? Why should they keep it safe?  Why couldn't they be the gods themselves?"

Tears twinkle lightly in corners of his eyes from the soft fire lights surrounding the small encampment. He smiles and pauses once more before continuing.

"It was Sammael that stood up first. The chief ruler of the 5th heavenly plain and carrier of souls that spoke. " Let there be a reaping." He smiled. " For those that are not fit to serve us let them die so that we might be free of our burdens. " Followed by the words of Raguel " With the burden of their souls lifted the more power we the angels gain over supernatural other creations. We will rule all!" He lifted his own arm in a call for war upon the earth. The angels descended upon the earth with the intent of killing all humanity. In the hasty choice of Sammael and Raguel some of the angels rebelled against the quick death that they had lay down upon the humans. This caused a rebellion. It was these angels and  the other supernatural beings that rose up in the defense of the humans.

They knew to lose humans would be their downfall. So they formed a council and settled into Seattle, creating a safe haven for the last of the human race. Even though their intentions were good humans have now come to be viewed as pets or slaves. Treated as luxury items only the finest in town can afford. Some humans love it and well those that don't always have the rebellion."

*He would softly chuckle as he said this his hand shifting out to brush against the locks of a sick little girl. Fingers glowing he healed her taking her pain and the disease that ravaged her body. Knowing his work was not yet done.As the wars and fights still wage with the new angelic court called the Divinity. Humans find themselves struggling to survive.*
